Welcome



North Mountain Lutheran Parish is a community of three congregations in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley working together in ministry. We gather around the Word of God and the communion table. All are welcome to join us in worship and fellowship. We are part of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Spirited Play!



July 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26, 6-7:30 pm @ St. Peter in Toms Brook



Hey, all you kids in Toms Brook and surrounding areas: The people of North Mountain Lutheran Parish want to know if you can come over and play! As a service to the community, we are offering wholesome outdoor fun in the form of yard games, water games, snacks, and praise on five evenings in July. So, kids, bring your friends and your friends' friends. Come for one evening or all of them. Parents, enjoy a bit of peace or feel free to bring a chair and stay a while! We look forward to some great summer evenings with you.


Who can attend:

Children age 8-14

Children age 4-7 with parental supervision or sibling supervision with parental approval

Our Pastor



North Mountain Parish is currently served by Interim Pastor Robert Wise. Pastor Wise was ordained in the North Carolina Synod in 1990 and most recently served in the Florida-Bahamas Synod of the ELCA. Pastor Wise is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.



Our Programs



We offer weekly and monthly Bible studies, as well as opportunities for learning and fellowship. Vacation Bible School in July will have the kids smiling and singing songs all year long.



Our Ministries



Our quilters meet monthly to spread comfort through Lutheran World Relief. We help keep kids focused on education, not hunger, through Luke's Backpack collections. Our spirited Relay for Life team goes the distance to fight cancer. And community meals give us the chance to eat and chat in fellowship. These are some of our most loved ministries.
